Oshun (Ọṣun, Ochún, Oshún, Òsun, Osun, Oxum) ist in der Religion der Yoruba die Aphrodite, die Venus unter den Orishas. Sie ist eine Flussgöttin des Oshun und symbolisiert die Fruchtbarkeit. Sie tritt stets in Begleitung von Yemayá auf und ist im besonderen eine Hilfe für die Schwangeren und Gebärenden. Als die Orisha der körperlichen Liebe hat sie natürlich viele Liebesaffären mit männlichen Orishas gehabt, von denen Changó ihre große Liebe ist.

Im afro-kubanischen Santería-Kult entspricht Oshun der Jungfrau Maria in Form der Barmherzigen Jungfrau von Cobre, der Schutzpatronin Kubas.

Im portugiesischen Sprachraum wird sie als Oxum bezeichnet. Den Anhängern des afro-brasilianischen Candomblé gilt sie als Gottheit der Flüsse und Wasserfälle, der Schönheit, der Liebe und des Reichtums. Auch in Brasilien wird sie im Rahmen des Synkretismus oft der Jungfrau Maria zugeordnet.

Ihr Hain in Oshogbo (Oṣogbo) gehört zum UNESCO-Welterbe[1].
