Oflag IV-D

Das Lager Elsterhorst befand sich in Elsterhorst (heute Nardt) in der heutigen Gemeinde Elsterheide im damaligen Regierungsbezirk Liegnitz, Niederschlesien.

Das 1938/39 errichtete Lager diente der deutschen Wehrmacht zunächst als Stammlager (Stalag IV bzw. Stalag IV A) überwiegend für polnische und tschechische Kriegsgefangene und anschließend als Offizierslager (Oflag IV D) für überwiegend französische Kriegsgefangene.

Nach Kriegsende war es kurze Zeit russisches Kriegsgefangenenlager FPPL Nr. 30 für deutsche Wehrmachtssoldaten.

Von Oktober 1945 bis Anfang 1948 war es Durchgangs-, Quarantäne- und Umsiedlerlager für heimkehrende deutsche Soldaten und Vertriebene aus Schlesien, Ostpreußen, Pommern und dem Sudetenland. Am 31. März 1948 wurde das Lager aufgelöst.
