Das Ordnance Survey Great Britain 1936 (OSGB36) ist die geodätische Grundlage der Vermessung Großbritanniens.

Zu diesen Grundlagen zählt der so genannte regionale Ellipsoid Airy 1830 (nach George Biddell Airy, siehe Referenzellipsoid).

Untenstehend der Ellipsoid mit seinen Achsen a, b und der Abplattung f=(a-b)/a.
