Nowra ist eine Stadt im australischen Bundesstaat New South Wales und liegt etwa 160  südlich von Sydney am Shoalhaven River. Sie ist eng verbunden mit dem am gegenüberliegenden Flussufer liegenden Bomaderry. Nowra-Bomaderry hat etwa 27.500 Einwohner (Stand 2006[1]).

Nowra wurde 1852 gegründet. Die Stadt ist Knotenpunkt der Milchwirtschaft in der umliegenden Region und Endstation der Bahnlinie aus dem Norden.

In Nowra befindet sich der Verwaltungssitz des lokalen Verwaltungsgebiets Shoalhaven City.
