Nore Stabkirche
Nore og Uvdal ist eine Kommune in der Provinz (Fylke) Buskerud in Norwegen. Nore og Uvdal hat 2152 Einwohner (Stand: 1. Januar 2011) und erstreckt sich über eine Fläche von 2501 km². Verwaltungssitz ist die Ortschaft Rødberg. An Nore og Uvdal grenzen die Kommunen Hol, Ål und Nes im Norden, Flå und Sigdal im Osten, Rollag, Tinn (Provinz Telemark) und Vinje (Provinz Telemark) im Süden und an Eidfjord in der Provinz Hordaland im Westen.
Der höchste Punkt der Kommune ist der Borgsjåbrot (1485 m), der an der Grenze zur Kommune Tinn in der Telemark liegt. Große Teile der Hardangervidda liegen in der Kommune Nore og Uvdal.
Die Kommune entstand 1962 durch die Zusammenlegung der Kommunen Nore und Uvdal und bildet den obersten Teil des Numedals.
Sehenswert sind die Stabkirchen von Nore und von Uvdal aus dem 12. Jahrhundert.
Verkehr
Rødberg war Endstation der Numedalsbahn.
