London Borough of Newham [ˈnjuːəm] ist ein Stadtbezirk von London im Nordosten der Stadt. Er entstand 1965 bei der Gründung von Greater London aus den ehemaligen kreisfreien Städten East Ham und West Ham. Dazu kamen die Teile von Barking westlich des Flusses Roding und von Woolwich nördlich der Themse. Partnerstadt ist Kaiserslautern. Die Bevölkerung setzt sich zusammen aus 39,4 % Weißen, 32,5 % Südasiaten, 21,6 % Schwarzen und 2,8 % Chinesen.

Newham ist derjenige Bezirk, wo die Weißen (also primär die einheimischen Engländer) den kleinsten Anteil an der Bevölkerung stellen, er ist gleichzeitig auch der ethnisch vielfältigste. Den südlichen Teil von Newham bilden die Docklands, das ehemalige Hafengebiet, welches die größte Stadtentwicklungszone Londons ist. Dort liegt auch Londons neuester Flughafen, der London City Airport.

Ein weiterer Entwicklungsschwerpunkt ist Stratford im Westen des Bezirks. Dort werden die meisten Sportanlagen für die Olympischen Sommerspiele 2012 errichtet, einschließlich des Olympiastadions.

Im Fußballstadion Boleyn Ground spielt der Premier League-Verein West Ham United.
