Ned Vizzini (* 4. April 1981 als Edison Vizzini in New York City) ist ein US-amerikanischer Schriftsteller.

Mit 15 Jahren schrieb Ned Vizzini erste Geschichten und war Kolumnist in der New York Press, mit 19 veröffentlichte er sein erstes Buch Teen Angst? Naaah... 2003 schloss er sein Informatik-Studium ab. Ned Vizzini lebt in Brooklyn, New York. Er arbeitet als freier Autor und unterrichtet an einer Highschool.

Die Tage vom 29. November bis zum 3. Dezember 2004 verbrachte Ned Vizzini in der Erwachsenen-Psychiatrie im Methodist Hospital, Park Slope, Brooklyn. Seine dortigen Erfahrungen verarbeitete er unmittelbar danach innerhalb von drei Wochen in seinem Buch It's a Kind Of A Funny Story (dt. Eine echt verrückte Story).
